Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier
The Yorkshire Terrier is a small breed that was developed in England in the mid 1800s. Though small in size, the Yorkie has a huge personality, one that is active, fun, and lovable. Yorkshire’s are confident, sharp, and often adventurous. They bark often, but can be trained to be quiet if needed.
The Yorkshire Terrier has a tan coat with a dark steel blue hue. Their coat is fine, silky, long, and straight. It is primarily trimmed close to floor length to make it comfortable for the dog to move. The Yorkie loves to exercise, especially indoors. It should be taken on daily walks, however, to make sure it stays healthy. The Yorkshire Terrier is a very healthy dog, with a life expectancy of 14-16 years.
