Adopt a Australian Cattle Dog
The Australian Cattle Dog, or Blue Heeler, is a herding dog native to Australia. If you adopt an Australian Cattle Dog, you are adopting a breed that is known to be assertive with cattle, has a high intelligence level, and an uncanny ability to solve problems. When you adopt an Australian Cattle Dog, they will be obedient and trustworthy; the perfect breed for someone who’s on the go. The Australian Cattle Dogs has a ticked coat, meaning its hairs vary in color across its body. The two standard colors of the Australian Cattle Dog are red and blue, sometimes with a mask over the eyes. They have a muscular body and are moderately sized, standing anywhere between 17 and 20 inches tall.
Australian Cattle Dogs have a high activity threshold, and are capable of working for many hours at a time. They are independent by nature and meant to be alone while herding cattle, for example. They can be stubborn, though, which is why the owner must establish their role as the master of the pack early on. Once this is achieved, however, the Australian Cattle Dog will be an excellent and adorable pet.
